Alyson 2We are thrilled to announce Alyson Culin as our new Executive Director! Alyson has served the Center since 2008, first as a volunteer Community Educator and most recently as the Interim Executive Director.

Tar Heel born and bred, Alyson earned her BA in History and Political Science and MA in Teaching at UNC-Chapel Hill. While a student, she got her start in the nonprofit sector through her work with the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. Alyson’s commitment to ending sexual violence and its impact also extends back to her time at UNC, where she worked extensively with Project Dinah, an organization dedicated to ending sexual and interpersonal violence on campus and in the community.

Alyson’s impact upon the growth of the Center has been impressive. As our Development & Communications Director for 7 years, she managed the Holiday Auction as it grew to a $100,000 annual event; created Cupcakes & Cocktails, now a staple event of the Center; and launched the Center’s first Capital Campaign. Her expertise and dedication will allow the Center to expand its services and reach new heights in providing help, hope, and healing to residents of Orange County and beyond.

If you have any questions or would just like to say hello, Alyson can be contacted at alyson@ocrcc.org or 919-968-4647.
