Talk and Dialogue with Margie Gillis: “Healing Through Movement.”
Friday, February 22, 10:00-11:30 am | at OCRCC
Join us at the Center for a talk & dialogue with Margie Gillis on her methods of healing through movement.  One of the iconic solo artists of the 20th and 21st centuries, Canadian dancer and choreographer Margie Gillis will discuss her work through the lens of trauma recovery and conflict resolution, and create a dialogue about the use of healing through movement. Gillis is a socially committed choreographer, performer, and teacher who has worked together with therapists in America and Europe to develop techniques that help survivors to somatically identify their sensations and shift them, physically and emotionally. This event is free and is geared toward facilitators, therapists and all others interested in the subject matter. It is co-sponsored by the Dance Program-Duke University.
